How to Use the Hood on the Fiat 124 Spider

In this video, see the correct way to use the hood on the Fiat 124 Spider: to lower it, find the release catch and the handle on the upper console. Push the release knob forward while pulling the handle down to unlock it and remove the striker from the anchorage. Now exit the vehicle and hold the edge of the hood, pulling it towards the rear of the vehicle while also gently pushing the rear window with your other hand; once the hood is pushed and folded, push the front end until you hear the catch click. Ensure it is securely in place. To raise it, pull it upwards while holding it along the front edge and pulling it towards the windscreen. From inside, grab the handles and push them towards the windscreen, ensuring the striker enters the anchorage, then move the handle forward. If the hood is not properly closed, a red indicator will light up on the central console.
