How do you replace the timing belt of the Fiat 500?

Model: Fiat 500 312 - Years 2007-2024
Part: Timing belt

Replacing the timing belt on a Fiat 500 is done by opening the hood to access the engine compartment. Here, it will be necessary to remove the plastic covers located on the left side of the engine, in order to access the pulleys and the timing belt. By also removing some bulky pieces such as pipes and connectors, it will be possible to unscrew the nut that fixes the central pin of the tensioner roller, decreasing the tension of the belt itself. The reduction in tension will allow the belt to be removed from the pulleys and replaced with a new spare part. After installation, all previously removed parts can be reassembled.
