How to Change the Speedometer Cable on a Fiat Panda

Replacing the speedometer cable is a very simple operation that can be done exclusively in the engine bay; you do not need to dismantle the instrument cluster. Once you have opened the front bonnet, remove the spare wheel and the plastic cover that conceals the area beneath the windscreen: you will immediately spot the cable. Disconnect the rubber grommet and the plastic ring that secures it to the instrument cluster. Follow the cable to the passenger side where it is screwed into the CV joint; once this ring is unscrewed, proceed in reverse for the installation of the new one.
