Replacing the LEDs that illuminate the instrument panel to change its color is a job that requires a certain amount of manual skill both for the disassembly and disassembly of the dial, as well as for unsoldering and re-soldering the LEDs on the electronic circuit itself. That said, start by fully adjusting the steering wheel all the way out and down to have more room for maneuver; then unscrew the fixing screws of the dial, extract it from its seat and disconnect the relative sockets; then remove the rear and front plastic covers, then unhook the hands and remove the printed coating of the dial; then straighten the tabs that hold the support and the circuit together to separate them and to be able to proceed with the replacement of the LEDs; reassemble the dial backwards and reinstall it in the car.

How do you open the fuel flap of the Volkswagen Golf 5?
