How to Replace the Fuel Pump of the Fiat Punto

Model: Fiat Punto MK 2, 188 - Years 1999-2011

First, remove the upper engine cover to access the fuel pump purge valve, allowing you to extract it without fuel still circulating inside. The valve is located next to the engine air intake, a bit lower down. Press it and be careful of any fuel that might spray out. Now, lift the rear seats of your vehicle and unscrew the three screws that secure the first cover of the tank. Disconnect the connectors and then remove the additional cover. Now, simply extract the central part, which will also pull out the pump.
