How to replace the front strut mount of the Fiat Doblo

Model: Fiat Doblo 223, MK 1, Doblo 1 - Years 2000-2009
Part: Checks and maintenance

To replace the front shock absorber strut on a Fiat Doblo vehicle, we first need to open the front hood and clean the strut mounting elements with WD40 spray. Using a 13mm socket wrench, we loosen the bolt and then using a 7mm socket wrench, loosen the nuts of the right front wheel and lift the car; remove the wheel completely. We then continue by removing the brake hose and using a 19mm socket wrench, remove the nuts that secure the strut to the ball joint, then tap the ball joint spindle and remove the bolts with a punch. Finally, we unscrew the ball joint spindle and unscrew the top part of the strut completely, extracting the spring. Now we can proceed to the installation of the new strut. We start by inserting the spring into the compression support, press and remove the strut, shock absorbers, and hydraulic compressor. We continue by inserting the new parts and in reverse order, perform the same procedure described earlier.
