Follow these steps to replace the front brake pads on your Ford Transit. Loosen the wheel bolts, lift the vehicle with a hydraulic jack, and place a jack stand under the chassis.

Remove the wheel by unscrewing the bolts. Rotate the hub outward, using a sturdy screwdriver to push the pads away from the disc.

Remove the lower caliper bolt and rotate the caliper upwards to secure it. Take out the old pads and anti-noise shims, check the play on the guide pins, and clean the surfaces with a brush and appropriate spray. Compress the caliper pistons with a special tool, install the anti-noise shims and new pads, reposition the caliper, and secure it with the lower bolt at 60 Nm. Refit the wheel, lower the vehicle, and repeat the process on the other wheel.
