To set the automatic gear on a Ford Focus, follow these simple steps. First, ensure the vehicle is on and the engine is running or in "P" (Park) mode.

Next, use the gear lever located on the centre console to select the desired driving mode. You will have options such as "P" (Park), "R" (Reverse), "N" (Neutral), and "D" (Drive) for normal driving.

By moving the gear lever to "D" (Drive), the car will be ready for automatic forward motion, and the gearbox will automatically select the appropriate gears based on speed and driving conditions. If you wish to activate manual mode to select gears manually, you may have an option like "M" (Manual) or "+/-" to change gears manually.
