How to disassemble the rear headlight of a Ford Focus?

Model: Ford Focus MK 3 - Years 2011-2018

To remove the rear headlight of a Ford Focus, start by turning off the vehicle and making sure the headlight switch is deactivated. Open the trunk to access the interior area where the headlight fasteners are located. In most models, you will find a plastic or fabric cover on the side of the trunk that protects the headlight mounting bolts. Remove this cover by lifting or unhooking it, depending on the system used. Once the area is exposed, locate the bolts or screws holding the headlight in place. Use a ratchet wrench or screwdriver, depending on the type of fastening, to carefully unscrew the bolts. Keep the screws in a safe place to avoid losing them. At this point, gently pull the headlight outwards. You may need to apply some force to free it from its supports, but proceed with caution to avoid damaging the fastenings or wiring. Once the headlight is removed, disconnect the electrical connector by gently pulling it. Now the headlight is completely disassembled and you can proceed with maintenance or replacement. To reassemble it, follow the steps in reverse order, making sure all connections are secure and the screws are tightened properly.
