Ford Focus - Video tutorial
Model: Ford Focus
MK 2, Focus 2
- Years 2004-2011 On this model it happens that the damage of one of the glow plugs causes not only the ignition of the engine light but also a recovery of the engine itself, thus limiting its performance; therefore when one glow plug fails it is certainly advisable to replace all four; the glow plugs are located in the rear part of the engine and to have more room for maneuver, remove the plastic covering strip immediately under the windscreen, thus also removing the wiper blades; given that the glow plugs are subjected to continuous thermal cycles, they can tend to seize in their respective seats and therefore break during disassembly: a suggestion is to unscrew them when the engine is hot to take advantage of the expansion of the same to facilitate the disassembly of the glow plugs themselves .
