Adjusting the handbrake tension of a 2012 Ford Ecosport vehicle is a simple and quick operation that can be done independently. To perform this operation, we need to get on board the vehicle and sit on the rear seats. Remove the plastic cover of the handbrake and using a 10mm insert key, tighten the bolt located on the handbrake. The tighter we tighten the bolt, the more tension in the brake will increase. After completing this step, move to the front seats to test the handbrake operation by engaging it. If the handbrake still has low tension, it will be necessary to go to the workshop.
