How to install the spare wheel kit on a Ford Tourneo that did not come with it as standard

Is it possible to install a spare wheel kit on a Ford Tourneo that was not originally equipped with one? The answer is yes, but only with original Ford parts, and the cost is around 250.00 euros (lifting mechanism, steel cable, and fixing bolt). We need to remove the plastic cover of the cargo compartment, underneath we will find a cover fixed with rivets, which will need to be removed with a drill; we remove the cover. Underneath, we will find threaded holes prepared by Ford, where we will fix the lifting mechanism, using the bolts provided in the kit. There are three main anchoring points with bolts, and a fourth point for the safety cable passage. We pass the steel cable through the appropriate guides and fix it to the mechanism. From inside the compartment, we turn the bolt to lower and raise the mechanism, to ensure that it works properly. We fix the spare wheel (whose cost is not included in the previously mentioned amount) to the cable, using the dedicated fixing bolt. To protect the spare wheel from the heat of the exhaust, it is a good idea to add, at a later time, an aluminum sheet protection. We reassemble the plastic cover of the cargo compartment; the hole from which the lifting bolt emerges will now be covered by the aesthetic cap provided in the kit.
