In this tutorial, we will see how to reset the automatic gearbox in the Ford Focus, an extremely simple and quick operation, for example as a troubleshooting attempt or after a change of ownership. First, enter the cabin, then insert the key and turn on the ignition.

Next, move the gear lever from position "P" to position "N", turn off the ignition and wait 15 seconds. At this point, simply turn the ignition back on, move the gearbox to position "P", wait another 15 seconds and quickly turn the vehicle off and on again.
