How to Adjust the Handbrake on Ford Focus MK2

In this video, learn how to adjust the handbrake on a Ford Focus MK2: you will need a flathead screwdriver and a 130mm socket spanner. Insert the screwdriver between the trim and the handbrake lever (rear part): gently lever to release the clips; lift the trim and remove it. The mechanism has a double nut (one for locking and one for adjustment): loosen the upper nut with the 13 spanner, and tighten the lower one clockwise to increase tension. The lever should not have more than 3/4 clicks. Refit the trim on the lever; if it remains loose, check the wear of the brake pads.
