How to Replace the Battery in the Ford Ecosport Key

Replacing the battery in the Ford Ecosport key is a fairly simple task that can be done in a few minutes. To start, on the side of the key near the attachment ring, you will see a small recessed button that needs to be pressed to open the cover with the Ford emblem that houses the physical key. Once the cover is opened, you will have access to the physical key, which should be removed, and you will notice a small hole corresponding to the attachment ring. At this point, you will need a small flathead screwdriver to gently pry inside the hole and along the side joint of the cover. Once done, the cover will open in two, and inside you will find the electronic board on one side and the battery compartment on the other. Now, after replacing the old battery with a new one, you can close the cover and reinsert the physical key with the cover in place.
