Replacing the fuel pump on a Ford Focus? Let’s look at the removal process. Disconnect the battery cables, then remove the rear seat cushions of the car. Unscrew the securing screws of the metal cap using a socket wrench (if not present, remove the tank), and take it out from its seat, lining the perimeter with absorbent paper. Unscrew the clamp of the fuel pump, disconnect the power connectors and the liquid circulation hoses. Extract the fuel pump assembly from the tank with all attached parts. Finally, refit the new fuel pump.
