Detach the front shock absorber of a Ford C Max? Let's see how to do it. We lift the front of the car with a jack, we identify the pieces to be disassembled. Remove the wheel, unscrew the locking pins of the shock absorber to the wheel hub with a socket wrench (remove the brake circuit tubes with a screwdriver). We lift the front hood of the engine and unscrew the pins of the wiper blades, we disassemble the plastic cover that covers the upper part of the shock absorber. Unscrew the screws on the side of the shock absorber, remove it from its housing. We mount the new shock absorber to the spring with a special compression machine. Once everything is assembled, we move on to the assembly of the shock absorber on the car. We fit all the pieces into the engine compartment.
