How to Change the Fan Resistor on a Focus

Model: Ford Focus MK 2, Focus 2 - Years 2004-2011

Change the climate control fan resistor on a Focus? Open the door and begin removing the plastic cover under the centre tunnel (pedal side). Use a screwdriver to unscrew the securing screws on top of the cover. Once this is done, detach the cover to access the resistor. Disconnect the resistor from its housing. Insert the new fan resistor: connect the fan. Refit the cover over the fan and screw in the securing screws. Start the vehicle and check the operation of the climate control fan.
