Ford Focus - Video tutorial
Model: Ford Focus
MK 3
- Years 2011-2018 This video shows how to replace the passenger compartment air filter of a Ford Focus. First of all, obtain the vehicle user manual which indicates the filter model that will suit you (in this case the FP70). The only tool you will need for this is a 15mm-bit torx screwdriver. First remove the caps covering the yellow latches of the lower part of the dashboard on the passenger side and remove the panel. Once the filter cabin has been identified, its cover must be removed by unscrewing the screw that secures it with a torx screwdriver. Press the cover with your index finger and thumb and remove it. Now grab the filter with your fingers and remove it; to do this, press with your index finger on the midpoint of the edge of the filter and make an arc form at the bottom of the filter itself, then let it come out by pulling the bottom vertex upwards. Take the new filter and make sure it is positioned correctly. Since the entrance to the cabin is smaller than the side of the filter, the latter will have to be compressed at its lateral midpoints (as if to form a flake). In this way you will temporarily shorten the side of the filter and it will be easier to insert it. Replace the cab cover and tighten its torx screw. Refit the lower dashboard panel and replace the caps on the yellow screws.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHandbrake adjustment on Ford EcosportFirst remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base. by ScegliAuto More videos
