How to Replace the Remote Key for a Ford Mustang

Model: Ford Mustang MK 6, S550 - Years 2015-2023

To replace the battery in the key/remote, start by removing the cover (the one with the Ford logo). To do this, lower (and hold in position) the small lever, which is recessed on the key shell (near the keyring). Once done, remove the circuit protection that also contains the battery housing. This can be done by prying in the designated slot with a small coin. Now, you can replace the two batteries (it is advisable to replace both) using a small screwdriver. Be careful with the placement of the piece of paper that separates the two batteries. Reassemble everything, and you're done!
