Removing the Handle on a Focus

Let's look at removing the damaged handle on a Ford Focus. Remove the cover panel to access the internal screws securing the handle. Remove the handle cover, unscrew the screws inside it. Unscrew the other screws on the cover panel until the entire panel is released. Pull the panel away with your hands and disconnect it from the door (disconnect the power wiring and the opening cable). Unscrew the screws on the side of the door and the screws inside until you can release the handle. Remove the damaged handle and replace it with a new one. Test the operation of the new handle after installation.
