Replacing the Ford Remote Control Battery

Model: Ford Focus MK 1 - Years 1998-2004

To replace the battery in the Ford remote control, use a coin to open the two covers that make up the key casing. Insert the coin into the groove between the two covers, at the hole for the keyring, and lever it open. This separates the two covers and gives access to the battery compartment. Using a screwdriver, remove the battery from its housing and proceed to replace it with a new one. Refit everything by reversing all the steps previously taken. That’s it!
