Focus Fuel Tank Disassembly

Do you want to remove the fuel pump on a Ford Focus? Let's look at disassembling the pump and the fuel tank. Determine whether to remove the rear seat bases or the entire tank. Once you have unscrewed the tank securing bolts, you can detach it from underneath the vehicle. Use a socket spanner to unscrew the securing bolts of the metal cap (if present) and remove it from its seat. Unscrew the fuel pump clamp, disconnect the power connectors and the liquid circulation hoses. Extract the floating fuel pump from its seat along with any attached components. Install a new pump inside the tank, then secure the tank back under the vehicle floor.
