Replacing the Gear Knob on a Ford Focus

Do you want to remove the gear knob from your Focus? Do you want to replace the knob? Let’s see how to do it. Take the knob in your hands and rotate it to the left until you can remove it from the gear lever (unscrew the knob). Use a plastic lever to disconnect the leather gaiter frame (if it needs replacing). Take the new knob and slide it onto the lever on the centre console, tightening the new knob until it is fully secured on the control lever. Finally, test the movement of the lever on the centre console to ensure the knob is correctly fitted. Fit a knob with the same thread.
