In this video tutorial, you will learn how to disassemble and replace the key shell along with the chip and electronic board on a first-generation Ford Focus. First, take your remote control and use a flat screwdriver to pry open the sides, separating the key from the remote.

Then, open the remote into two parts and remove the internal components, as shown in the video. At this point, transfer everything to the new remote shell, including the battery; all that’s left is to reassemble everything by applying the reverse procedure!
