How do you remove the cabin air filter? Here’s how to remove the cabin air filter on a Ford Mondeo. Unscrew the fastening screws located on the cover at the bottom on the side of the pedals (right side of the centre tunnel). Remove the screws that secure the side cover of the air filter housing. Take out the worn cabin filter and insert a new cabin filter, ensuring it fits snugly around the walls of the housing. Check the correct installation of the cabin air filter. Refit the protective cover and screw in the fastening screws.
