Replacing Cabin Filter on 2009 Ford Mondeo

When you turn on the air conditioning and notice a bad smell coming from the air vents, it means the cabin air filter is clogged and needs replacing; on the Ford Mondeo Mk4, the cabin air filter is located behind the central dashboard console, and to access it, you will need to remove the glove compartment from the passenger side, also taking out the underlying fuse box cover. At this point, unscrew the fixing screws of the cover, extract the old filter, remove any dirt residue, and insert the new filter, ensuring it is oriented correctly with the airflow direction.
