How to Replace the Diesel Filter on a Ford Focus

Model: Ford Focus MK 2, Focus 2 - Years 2004-2011

Before you start, open the bonnet of your Ford Focus. Begin by removing the upper engine cover by simply pulling it towards you. This will expose the diesel filter. Next, unscrew and remove the bolts securing the metal cover of the filter, then remove the cover itself. After that, disconnect the two hoses and the connector by simply pulling. At this point, you can remove the entire filter block. Unscrew the top part of the block to access the filter. Once you reach the diesel filter, remove it from the block, and you will have completed the disassembly. To install the new filter and close everything up, follow these steps in reverse, and you will have successfully completed the replacement.
