How to Reset the Oil Light on the Ford Explorer

After changing the oil and replacing the corresponding filter on your Ford Explorer, it is necessary to perform a quick manual reset of the warning light to eliminate it permanently. To do this, insert the key and turn on the ignition. Next, press the "Reset" button (located to the left of the radio) until you see the total mileage on the dashboard display. Do the same with the "Setup" button and stop as soon as you see the message "Press reset at oil change". Press the same button one last time and then hold it down until the message "100%" appears. At this point, release it and turn off the ignition.
