To replace the external door handle on a Ford Mustang, loosen the screws securing the door panel: these screws are located in the internal handle recess and near the window switch. Once these are removed, disconnect the internal connectors to completely detach the panel.

At this point, loosen the screws securing the handle from the inside so it can be removed from the outside. Finally, position the new handle, securing it and reassembling all previously removed parts.
