To replace the ECU on the Ford Focus, you may need to remove the engine from its housing: after disconnecting all hoses and connectors, the engine can be extracted to access the ECU. It is located at the bottom of the engine and must be removed by disconnecting its connectors. Once the old ECU is removed, connect the new one to its connector; then, reinsert the engine into its housing, securing and connecting it properly.
