Transmission Solenoid Valve

Model: Ford Focus Focus 2, MK 2 - Years 2004-2011
Part: Engine

A transmission solenoid is an electromechanical valve that controls the flow of transmission fluid in an automatic transmission. Transmission solenoids are powered by voltage or current. The solenoid body is typically cylindrical, made of steel with a metal coating, and is hollow inside. The solenoid is wound with enamelled wire around a conductive ferromagnetic material such as steel or iron. The coil and core take the form of a hollow cylinder inside which resides a piston. To repair it, you need to know its composition. A solenoid valve, such as a transmission solenoid, generally has nine parts: the valve body, an inlet port, an outlet port, the coil body, the winding coil, wires, a plunger or piston, a spring, and an orifice.

How to Replace Front Wiper Blades on Toyota Yaris

In this video, learn how to replace the front windscreen wiper blades on a Toyota Yaris. Take the front wiper blade with your hands, pull (as shown in the video) the movable blade and slide it off the arm on the left. Fit the new blade onto the arm (if the blade is not original, detach the piece as shown in the video), you will hear a click indicating it is secured. Finally, lower the wiper arm onto the windscreen and perform the same operation on the second blade. Test the new blades fitted earlier (activate the controls next to the steering wheel).
