Replacement of Rocker Cover Gasket

Once you have removed the rocker cover and taken off the old gasket, clean both the gasket seat under the cover and the contact surface on the cylinder head thoroughly. After cleaning, apply the new gasket into the groove along the edges of the cover, ensuring it fits properly; then, reposition the cover on the cylinder head and tighten the fixing bolts using a torque wrench. Generally, it is not necessary to apply gasket sealant, but if the edges of the cover or the surface of the cylinder head appear uneven, it may be advisable to apply sealant.
