To replace the battery on a Ford Transit, lower the backrest of the passenger seat by turning the appropriate knob on the side of the seat. Once the backrest is fully lowered, you can access its rear and unscrew the screws that secure the cover protecting the battery. Once this cover is removed, you can access the battery underneath by disconnecting the terminals and loosening the securing bolts. After removal, insert a new replacement and connect it.
