This guide shows how to replace the Ford Fusion Mk2 automatic gear knob. The first operation to carry out is to remove the finishing mask on the base of the gearbox and the rear edge of the central console. Lift the finishing leather cone to gain access to the knob fixing screws. At this point, there are two screws on the base of the knob; unscrew these elements and remove the piece. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the lighting and the shift button. Once the new element is installed, tighten the screws in place and reconnect the control electric cables. Check the correct operation of the gear lever.

How to reset the on-board computer of the Peugeot 208?

Resetting the Peugeot 208's on-board computer, the system called SMEG, is very simple. We can do this in case the system shows signs of malfunction, freezes, or in any other case where a restart could solve the problem. To reboot, simply hold down the two keys located in the lower left corner of the computer at the same time. After a few seconds, the SMEG system display will switch off, the Peugeot logo will appear and the start-up procedure will start. We wait patiently for the restart to complete as it may take some time.
