To replace the air filter on a Ford F-150, open the hood and locate the air filter box, which is near the left front headlight. Remove the screw that secures the retaining ring connecting the tube to the box. Now, by releasing the clips, the box can be opened and the filter inside can be removed.

Once the old filter is removed, install a new one, and then close the box and reconnect it to the tube with the retaining ring.
