Operation: How to replace the battery in a Ford Fiesta 5 1.4 TDCi

To replace the battery of a Ford Fiesta 5 1.4 TDCi car we will first have to get into the car to pull the hood release lever. After opening the engine compartment, we secure the hood by fixing it through the special rod and locate the battery, located to the right of the engine compartment. With a 10 mm socket wrench we unscrew the battery support bar and move it; then we continue by disconnecting first the negative terminal and then the positive one. At this point we can extract the battery; clean the inside of the clamps by scraping with sandpaper to remove the oxide present. We take the new battery, remove the protections and sprinkle the terminals with copper grease to improve contact with the cables and avoid oxidation. Finally we insert the new battery and with the socket wrench 10 and screw first the positive terminal and then the negative one. Finally we screw the battery support bar on top of it.
