The shock absorber is a system designed to slow down the movement of the car's suspension and absorb wheel oscillation. Shock absorbers are cylindrical with a piston that moves inside, where the outer cylinder is filled with fluid while the piston acts on it. First, lift the car with a jack to remove the wheel.

Place the jack under the wheel, then remove the fixing bolts, gently extracting the shock absorber from its housing, compressing it by hand, and then clean the heads where the new shock absorbers will be inserted.
