Gear Oil Change on Ford Mondeo 1.8 TDCi

To change the gearbox oil, proceed as follows: remove the air filter, battery, and battery tray. Locate the oil fill plug at the bottom and unscrew it using a socket wrench. To remove the oil drain plug, it is advisable to remove the left front wheel and brake disc. Locate the drain plug and, using a socket wrench, unscrew it, ensuring you have a container on the floor to collect the used oil. Wait for all the oil to drain out, then refit the drain plug. Obtain the new oil containers, ensuring to use a lubricant that meets the specifications for your car model. Using a funnel, pour the new lubricant into the reservoir, then screw the fill plug back on.
