This guide shows you how to change the engine air filter yourself using a DIY method. Being one of the parts of the car most prone to wear, the filter requires regular maintenance and it is good practice to replace it every 10,000 miles. A new, clean filter ensures better air quality entering the engine, removing particles from the outside that could damage it. The replacement should be done with the engine cold; once the bonnet is open and the filter housing is located, remove the screws and nuts to extract it easily.
