How to Replace the Timing Belt on the Ford Fiesta 1.4 16v

To replace the timing belt on the Ford Fiesta with the 1.4 16v engine, start by purchasing the Continental water pump kit with code CT881WP1 along with tool box V04. In the video, the engine and the cover protecting the gears where the belt runs have already been removed. After this procedure, remove the bolt at the bottom of the crankshaft and replace it with the locking tool (since the engine was set just before top dead centre, after fitting the tool, rotate the engine until it contacts the locking tool), then secure the camshaft. Rotate the tensioner pulley upwards until you can fit the stop pin. Replace the bolts on the camshaft gears using a counterhold, and when refitting, do not fully tighten them so they can rotate. Fit the timing belt starting from the crankshaft, moving counterclockwise, passing over the gears and then the tensioner pulley. Now remove the pin from the tensioner pulley to tension everything. At this point, you can tighten the camshaft gear bolts to a torque of 60 Nm. Finally, remove the locking tools, rotate the engine twice to check the timing, and reassemble everything.
