How to Remove the Steering Wheel from a Ford Focus?

To remove the steering wheel from a Ford Focus, rotate the wheel to leverage the removal of the upper cover of the steering column. Once this is removed, unscrew the bolts that secure the airbag at the back of the steering wheel, allowing it to be extracted from its housing. After the airbag is removed, unscrew the central nut underneath that secures the steering wheel to its housing: this will allow the steering wheel to be removed and replaced with a new one.
