In this video, we see how to make a small and inexpensive modification to an older vehicle like a 1994 Ford Transit; connecting a horn to the parking lights, so that if we forget to turn them off, we have a warning and don't risk draining the battery. We follow the fuse diagram available to us, connecting the windshield wiper fuse and the parking light fuse. This way, there is no need to disassemble the dashboard, but we simply connect the positive and negative with a small horn that costs very little in any auto parts store, and fits easily into the fuse box. Alternatively, we can also take the negative from behind, from the door button, so that when the door is opened and the light is on, it sounds, but this requires disassembling a part of the dashboard.

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat.
