Instructions for Replacing Spark Plugs

Model: Ford Focus MK 1 - Years 1998-2004
Part: Spark plugs

If you need to replace the spark plugs, the first recommendation is to allow the engine to cool down; at this point, remove the fixing screw of the ignition coil that is integrated with the lead, disconnect the connector, and pull out the lead itself; before unscrewing the spark plug, it is advisable to blow into the corresponding seat to remove any dirt that could end up in the cylinder; then unscrew the spark plug and proceed with the installation of the new one, applying copper grease to the thread without exceeding the tightening torque, then refit the lead and reconnect the connector to the ignition coil.
