Ford Fiesta - Video tutorial

Model: Ford Fiesta Fiesta 6, MK 6, MK VI - Years 2008-2017
Part: Battery
Operation: Battery replacement on Ford Fiesta MK6 version

Let's see how to replace the battery in a Ford Fiesta MK6 version. Open the hood and secure it with the appropriate rod. The battery is located in the upper right corner. To remove it, we must first disconnect two cables and remove the brace that holds it in place. Let's start with the negative terminal cable, which is black and is secured to the battery with a clamp tightened by a hex nut. Using a suitable wrench, loosen this nut so that we can remove it. Now let's move on to the positive terminal cable, which is marked with a red cover. Once lifted, we will have access to the nut that we need to loosen. After removing this cable as well, we proceed to remove the brace by unscrewing the two bolts with a wrench. Take out the old battery and place the new one in its slot. Before reconnecting the cables, clean the terminals with a wire brush and fine sandpaper, making sure to observe the correct polarity. Reattach the cables starting with the positive terminal (red). Finally, secure the brace back in place using its bolts.
