Battery Replacement on a Ford Fiesta MK6

Let's see how to replace the battery in a Ford Fiesta MK6. Open the bonnet and secure it with the prop rod. The battery is located at the top right. To remove it, first disconnect two cables and take off the crossbar that holds it in place. Start with the negative cable, which is black and secured to the battery with a clamp held by a hex nut. Use a suitable spanner to loosen this nut so you can remove it. Next, move to the positive cable marked with a red cover; once lifted, you will have access to the nut that needs to be loosened. After removing this cable, take off the crossbar by unscrewing the two bolts with a spanner. Remove the old battery and position the new one in its place; before reconnecting the cables, clean the terminals with a wire brush and fine sandpaper, ensuring correct polarity, and reconnect the cables starting with the positive (red) one. Finally, secure the crossbar with its bolts.
