Repairing Peeling Paintwork

First, thoroughly clean the bodywork with car shampoo in the area to be repaired. Next, use very fine sandpaper (120 grit), wet with water, to sand the edges of the paint peeling.

After this, continue sanding with coarser sandpaper (600 grit), covering larger areas of the bodywork. Dry the area well and apply newspaper sheets to mask off the parts that should not be painted.

Take a spray can of paint with the same colour code as the bodywork and spray onto the affected area. Allow to dry for about thirty minutes, then use another spray can to add a gloss finish to the paint.

Once this operation is complete, you can remove the paper sheets. After about an hour, you can apply a cleaning liquid using the appropriate tool.

The vehicle on which this maintenance operation is performed is a Ford Mondeo.
