How to Open and Close the Bonnet of the Ford Fiesta

To open and close the front bonnet, observe a few small precautions to avoid unpleasant mishaps. First, stop the vehicle in a safe position, turn off the engine, and engage the handbrake. At this point, locate the bonnet release lever, which is found low on the left side of the driver's side, just below the dashboard. Pull the lever to release the catch, then locate the second yellow lever under the bonnet, positioned centrally. Pull it upwards to disengage the catch and lift the bonnet using the support rod. Finally, remove the support rod by placing it back in its holder, lower the bonnet to about 20 cm from the crossmember, and let it drop to close.
