Ford Ka - Video tutorial

Model: Ford Ka MK 2 - Years 2008-2016
Part: Brake discs
Operation: How to replace the front brake discs and pads of the Ford Ka.

In this video, we see how to replace the brake pads and front discs of a Ford Ka. First, after lifting the car and removing the wheels, we need to remove the highlighted pin in the video, after spraying it with WD-40. We remove the contact sensor, lift the caliper, which we will support with a cable to keep it in position and not damage the circuit. Now we can remove the brake pads and, by turning the disc, remove all the bolts to remove it, but first we also need to remove the rear ones with a very long wrench. To remove the disc, we will have to give it sharp blows, so that the vibrations make it come off. Now we need to clean the hub thoroughly with a wire brush, both on the front and back. Now we place the new disc in its place, putting the clean and greased screws back in place, and they should not be tightened too much. Now, using the same wire brush, we will also clean the calipers well before putting the brake pads back in place. We close the calipers properly and reassemble the pin. We can now reassemble the wheels and lower the car.
