How to Replace Front Brake Discs and Pads on a Ford Ka

In this video, see how to replace the front brake discs and pads on a Ford Ka. First, lift the car and remove the wheels. Remove the pin highlighted in the video after spraying it well with WD-40. Disconnect the contact sensor, lift the caliper, and support it with a cable to keep it in position and avoid damaging the circuit. Now you can remove the pads and, by turning the disc, take off all the bolts to remove it, but first, remove the rear bolts with a long spanner. To remove the disc, give it sharp taps so the vibrations help it come off. Clean the hub thoroughly with a wire brush, both front and back. Now, place the new disc in position, refitting the clean and greased screws, ensuring they are not overly tight. Using the same wire brush, clean the calipers well before refitting the pads. Secure the calipers, and reassemble the pin. You can now reattach the wheels and lower the car.
