First, turn on the ignition, put the gearbox in neutral, then turn off the ignition and wait for fifteen to twenty seconds. Next, put the gearbox in 'park', wait another fifteen to twenty seconds, then turn on the instrument panel again and wait another twenty seconds. Turn off the car and engage the 'drive' gear, then turn the ignition back on; the vehicle will now emit a sound to indicate that the procedure is complete. To ensure everything is in order, start the vehicle and accelerate to about 80 mph, increasing the throttle to 25% of its power, then gradually stop. Repeat by accelerating first to 50% and then to 100% for relearning.
