How to Remove the Rear Bumper

Model: Ford Focus MK 1 - Years 1998-2004
Part: Rear bumper

To remove the rear bumper, start by opening the boot and unscrewing the screws attached to the clips along the top edge of the bumper near the boot catch. Next, remove the two rear wheels to unscrew the screw and remove the clip to shift the wheel arch protection. Once this is done, you can unscrew the nut that secures the bumper to the bracket. Obviously, repeat the same operation on the other side of the bumper. Now, just remove the last clips from under the bumper as shown in the images and finally detach the bumper, starting from one end and then the other symmetrically. Car model: Ford Focus

Tools required: cross screwdriver, 10 mm socket spanner.
